My classes are “student-centered” and deeply informed by the principles of yoga original texts and by insight meditation.

My hatha yoga practices focus on functional movement, somatic inquiry, pranayama, meditation, and restorative postures. For the most part,  I tend to refrain from demonstrating (unless there are any particular needs) and use specific verbal cues, instead, to help students lean in and pay close attention to their own breathing, bodies, biomechanics, and whatever needs to be tended to with honesty, contentment and presence.

If you are curious about mindfulness meditation, my stress reduction classes will train you in stabilizing the mind, and in cultivating moment to moment awareness without judgment. Most of my practices come from the insight meditation tradition, they are trauma informed and foster wellbeing, healing, as well as creative expression.
